HSA Release Statistics

The Health and Safety Authority this week released details of updated Statistics in relation to Occupational Illnesses, fatalities and accidents. IOSH Ireland Branch Conference

IOSH Ireland held its Annual Branch Conference and AGM in The Killashee House Hotel on June 18th 2008.  The theme of the conference was “Best Practice and emerging issues”.  Safety Wise Advice Services was in attendance and found the conference very informative.

CSCS Card Delay

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 have been ammended to allow an extension for the requirement to hold certain CSCS Cards which were due to come into effect this month.  The extension has been granted until 6th July 2009. C.O.P for Small Contractors

The Health and Safety Authority have launched a new Construction Safety Code of Practice for Contractors with Three or less Employees.  It is aimed at small Builders and Tradespersons to enable them to comply with the requirement to have a Safety Statement.  For Further Information and or assistance contact Safety Wise Advice Services.
