The newly formed North West District of IOSH Ireland held its First Seminar in The Glasshouse in Sligo on May 20th 2008. The topic was The HSA Guidance for Directors and Senior Managers on their responsibilities for Workplace Health and Safety and the Speaker on the evening was Mary Darlington. The Head of IOSH Ireland, Mr. Bruce Philips also gave a speech. The evening was very well attended and the Committee was delighted with the success of our first Seminar.
Another Seminar will be held in the near future, most likely in the Donegal area. it is hoped to hold Seminars in the various Counties covered by the District over the coming months.
