The new Regulations on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures was published at the end of last year and came into effect on January 20th 2009.
The regulations ensure that the description and labelling of hazardous substances shall be universally recognised and understood in all countries.
The regulations will eventually replace the existing Irish CPL Regulations and ammend the REACH Regulations.
