Businesses often wonder when it is necessary to review and update their Safety Statement.
The Health and Safety Authority advises that Safety Statements be revised on an annual basis.
Legislation Guidelines advise that a Safety Statement is reviewed on a continual basis and is updated as and when the following occurs:
- Changes in H&S Legislation, Regulations and Code of Practices applicable to the nature of your works
- Significant changes in the Management Structure of the Business
- Significant changes in the scope of works carried out by the Business
- Change in location of Premises
- Any significant event or incident e.g. serious accident
