The revised Regulation 97 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 comes into force on July 6th 2009.
This Regulation requires that persons carrying out roadworks must hold a Signing, Lighting and Guarding CSCS Card (SLG CSCS Card).
There are two types of SLG CSCS Card, the first card is a 3 day card holder and the other is a one day awareness course Card Holder.
It is important to note that the three day Card Holder does not take on the responsibilities of Management Level higher up in the company than him/herself.
Safety Wise Advice Services advise that Companies arrange the training to be carried out in the coming weeks in order to avoid last minute panics as the deadline looms.
For further information on this particular training please contact us.
