This New Directive comes into effect on December 29th 2009 with no transition period.
The Directive applies to the following persons:
- Machine Users
- Machine Manufacturers
- Assemblers and users of Production Lines and Robotic Cells
The new Directive covers the following issues: CE Marking, Declaration of Conformity, Safety Components,Technical Documentation, Assembly Instructions for partly completed machinery.
Injuries as a result of working with machinery account for the majority of claims lodged with the PIAB and can impact greatly on a Business’ profitability.
