The HSA (Health and Safety Authority) have published a New “Code of Practice for the Design and Installation of Anchors” which came into effect on May 17th 2010.
According to the HSA, “The aim of this code of practice is to provide practical guidance to designers, specifiers and installers of metal anchors on the requirements and prohibitions set out in the relevant statutory provisions”.

Some of the Industries to which this new Code applies is as follows: Construction and Telecoms safety critical situations such as Structural connection in concrete, temporary works, cladding systems, mechanical and electrical installations, safety systems and tie systems.
