What is a Code of Practice (COP)?

A Code of Practice gives practical guidance on how to comply with the relevant Statutory Provisions of the applicable Health & Safety Regulations.

In some cases, completing COP Documents can help to meet some of the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 such as carrying out and recording a risk assessment.

For example:

  • Construction COP for Contractors with three or less Employees
  • Agriculture COP for Farms with three or less Employees
